memu earth lab の活動は、東京大学生産技術研究所の建築情報学研究室（森下研）がコーディネーションしています。生産技術研究所が、「まだ世界が気づいていない数々の可能性を、未来よりも早く見つけ出し、つきぬけた価値として絶え間なく提起し続ける、もしかする未来の研究所」と立ち位置を提示する中、memu earth labは、「research retreat」：研究者滞在プログラムを通して、社会のリアリティの中に、「もしかする資源」を再読する機会、「memu open research capmus」 の場所づくりを北海道十勝平野、memu にて行っています。 The activities of memu earth lab are coordinated by the Building Informatics Laboratory (Morishita Lab) at the Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo. While the Institute of Industrial Science positions itself as “a potential future research institute that discovers numerous possibilities the world has yet to notice faster than the future itself, and continuously presents them as groundbreaking value,” memu earth lab is creating opportunities and space to reread the "potential resource" in the societal field of Memu, located in Tokachi Plains, Hokkaido. It provides Research Retreat program through Memu Open Research Campus. memu / アイヌ語由来の地名の和読み：メㇺ (mem)： 清水が湧いている泉池（一般）、地域によっては古川の跡（旭川方面）
